Importing – Understanding transcoding, video analysis, project management and more.
Organising – Using keyword collections, smart collections, events, and metadata.
Editing – Understanding basic editing techniques, essential shortcuts and tips used by professionals.
Working with Audio – Fine tuning audio and adding effects.
Titles – Creating custom titles with the Title Generator.
Transitions and Effects – Applying effects and transitions.
Exporting – Sharing your project and outputting the final film for your intended audience.
Who Should Attend?
This Final Cut Pro X - Introduction 1 day course, is designed for anyone who has an interest in editing and may have little experience in basic editing software such as iMovie or are transitioning from Final Cut Pro 7 onto Final Cut Pro X. This is a great overview of editing concepts, how to get the best out of your edits, getting to know Final Cut Pro X’s interface and features, and will go through the essential steps from importing your media, to editing to sharing your final product.
WHEN: This course runs on Saturdays, 10am-5pm.

Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:
- Knowledge of OS X and basic computer navigation.
- Basic knowledge of editing terminology is recommended.
- (Macbook Pros with FCP X can be provided on request.
